FÜSSEN is stunning, like a picture-postcard .... but then so many of these German towns are. There is a profusion of colour for a start, with shops and houses painted pastel colours. Nothing seems out of place; quality in everything is the order of the day.

Nearby is the village of Schwangau, home to the Königsschlößer, among the most popular tourist sights in Europe. Everyone visits the castles, but the town of Füssen is not to be missed either!
